I have been rock climbing for about 8 years. I normaly only go to the local rock climbing gym to climb. I have also gone to other places such as Red River Gorge to climb and repel. Down in Red River Gorge I was over 150 feet off the ground. Rock climbing is a very a dangerous sport. Many people have died doing it. The only thing that keeps you from falling to your death is a rope that is only about a centimeter thick. The thought of knowing that you could fall at anytime and possible die is the best feeling ever. The feeling gives me a huge adrenalin rush.

Dodge Ball

This week I will be talking about dodge ball. This sport is played with two teams. Each team has 7 players. The court is alligned with 7 rubber dodge balls on the midline. At the blow of the whitsle each player makes a dashh toward a dodge ball. After you get the ball you must take it back to the back of the court. If you throw a ball and hit a person then that person is out. If you throw a ball and an opponent catches it then you are out and the other team brings in a player. We play this sport in gym class. Each team captain choose 4 other people to be on their team. The main strategy is to pick the best players. Once the teams are picked we go to our alloted sides and get ready. After the blow of the whistle, everyone starts going for the best players. Once the best player is out you start going to the second best and so on and so forth. This game always becomes very violent with everyone aiming for the opponent's face.

Extreme Sports

This entry will be about white water kayaking. White water kayaking is very difficult sport to do. There are 6 different white water classes, 1 being the easist and 6 being the hardest. Class 6 includes water falls and few people in the world are class 6 boaters. I am considered a class 3 boater. To be considered a class 3 boater you have to proficient in 'eddie turns' and rolling. Rolling is turning back over when you capsize. I started canoing when I was about 5 and then started kayaking when I was about 12. Kayaking is a very dangerous sport and many people have lost there lives kayaking, so always remember to take the right precations when white water kayaking.
